Bosch cooktop repair in Kansas City

Bosch cooktops run capacitive touch controls on the glass and, on induction models, put the power electronics and a cooling fan in the shallow space beneath. That fan keeps the hob alive, and a cramped installation is the first thing to compromise it.

What goes wrong with Bosch cooktops

Elements shutting off partway through cooking
An induction zone works ten minutes, quits, then works again later. The power board underneath has overheated because its cooling fan is choked with grease and dust, or the cabinet is blocking intake air. We clear the fan and check the clearances.
Touch panel unresponsive or beeping
Liquid on the glass makes the control beep and lock out, which clears once it is wiped dry. If it stays dead, the ribbon cable between the touch panel and the control module has failed, and the unit drops out of the counter.
Pan symbol flashing on one zone
The zone cannot detect the cookware. Either the pan is not magnetic, its base is smaller than the ring, or the detection circuit on that coil has failed. A fridge magnet on the base settles it in seconds.
Every gas burner clicking at once
These gas tops fire all electrodes from one spark module, so a single cracked or wet igniter makes the whole cooktop tick continuously. Drying and reseating the caps is step one; a cracked electrode is step two.

Before you call

Keep the space under an induction Bosch clear. Stored trays and tight cabinet trim starve that fan, and the heat shutdowns get blamed on the cooktop when the install is the cause.
