Thermador oven repair in Kansas City

Thermador wall ovens sit on Bosch-family electronics, with a soft-close door, telescopic rack glides, and on steam models a removable reservoir feeding a steam generator. That water circuit is what separates these from an ordinary convection oven, and in Kansas City's hard water it needs attention on a schedule.

What goes wrong with Thermador ovens

Steam oven making little or no steam
Cycles finish without the cavity fogging, or the control posts a descale demand and refuses to run steam. Scale coats the generator element and narrows the pump lines. The fix is the appliance's own descale program; neglected units need the pump after.
Water under the reservoir housing
You find a damp cabinet floor after a steam cycle. The reservoir seal and its dock fittings wear from being pulled and pushed daily, and once they weep, water tracks onto electronics. The oven comes out to reach them.
Door stuck locked after self-clean
The cycle ends, the cavity cools, and the lock icon stays on with the door held. The latch motor or its position switch fails while hot, so the control never sees the door reach unlocked. Replace the latch assembly and confirm the signal at the board.
Glass control panel going unresponsive
Touch keys stop registering in one area, usually the row nearest the door. Heat cycling degrades the connection between the touch layer and the control board, and the panel is replaced as an assembly.

Before you call

Empty and dry the water reservoir after each steam session instead of leaving it docked, and run the descale program the first time it asks.
