Miele washing machine repair in Kansas City

Miele front-loaders spin fast, with a honeycomb drum surface meant to float fabric on a film of water at those speeds, and they hang that drum in a metal outer tub whose bearings are serviceable rather than a sealed throwaway. Some models add TwinDos, a two-cartridge detergent dosing system plumbed into the machine.

What goes wrong with Miele washing machines

Long rebalancing, spin never comes up
The machine ramps, backs off, redistributes, and finishes with heavy laundry. Because the top spin speeds are so high, imbalance protection is aggressive, and worn suspension struts or one soaked bath mat will trigger it.
Drain fault stopping the program
The cycle halts with water in the drum and the pump grinding or silent. The drain filter behind the flap at the bottom front collects coins and hair and is opened first. If it is clear, the impeller is next.
TwinDos not dispensing
Wash results fall off and the cartridge level barely moves month to month. Detergent dries in the dosing lines and at the pump when the system sits unused, blocking flow with no obvious symptom. Flush the lines first.
Roar that climbs with spin speed
A rising rumble appears above a certain speed and there is play when you rock the drum by hand. That is the drum bearing, which ends most front-loaders. Here the tub separates and takes a bearing kit.

Before you call

Open the drain filter every few months and run an occasional hot maintenance wash with no softener, which keeps the sump and dosing lines clear. Weigh a steep quote against a design meant to last decades.

Pricing

$200 to $325 for most washer repairs including parts and labor. The $109 diagnostic is credited to the repair when you approve the written quote.
